Synopsis

Meet Fred, an accountant whose life was so meticulously mundane that even his death and subsequent vampiric rebirth couldn't shake his inherent blandness. Plagued by shyness and a chronic lack of self-esteem, Fred was content to continue his unadventurous existence, albeit with a new craving for blood. However, a chance encounter at a high school reunion with an old friend abruptly shatters his carefully constructed, boring routine. This rekindled connection plunges Fred headfirst into the chaotic, vibrant, and utterly bizarre parahuman world, a realm teeming with an eclectic cast of characters, from cheerful zombies and truck-driving wereponies to malevolent necromancers and ancient dragons. Now, this unassuming undead accountant must navigate a world far wilder than his ledgers, proving that even a life post-mortem can be a surprisingly bloody and hilariously messy affair.

Critical Reception

"This series has been lauded for its refreshing, humorous take on the urban fantasy genre, subverting traditional vampire tropes with a delightfully relatable and timid protagonist."
