Rise of the King

Synopsis

In the tumultuous wake of the Sundering, the ancient and bloody feud between the orcs of Many-Arrows and the dwarves of Bruenor Battlehammer reignites with catastrophic force. Though the legendary Companions of the Hall have reunited, their ideals clash, even as a sinister 'Darkening' portends widespread war across the northern cities of the Shining White. Old grievances resurface, demanding recompense, and the treacherous drow priestess Quenthel Baenre manipulates the orcs, ushering a new, brutal king to the throne of Many-Arrows. Under his command, savage hordes sweep across the Spine of the World, ending decades of fragile peace. Amidst this escalating chaos, the Companions embark on multiple desperate quests: to liberate Pwent from a vampiric affliction, to reclaim Bruenor’s rightful throne, and to combat the pervasive evil of the drow and the relentless orcish onslaught. As the world threatens to succumb to a vicious cycle of violence and hatred, Drizzt Do’Urden finds himself in a profound struggle, fighting not only for his life and his loved ones, but for the very essence of his soul.
