Synopsis

In the climactic conclusion to the Transitions trilogy, 'The Ghost King' plunges Faerûn into unprecedented chaos following the collapse of Mystra’s Weave and the devastating Spellplague. As magic becomes unpredictable and deadly, an even greater threat emerges: the terrifying Ghost King, an entity embodying the combined might of a dragon, a mind flayer, and the legendary Crenshinibon crystal. When the cunning drow mercenary Jarlaxle finds himself targeted by this formidable foe, he realizes his only hope lies with the Deneir priest Cadderly Bonaduce. Forced to seek entry into the sacred sanctuary of Spirit Soaring, Jarlaxle must recruit his old adversary, Drizzt Do’Urden. With Drizzt's beloved Catti-brie afflicted by the Spellplague, the heroes unite, their individual plights converging against a common, world-ending enemy. As time runs out and faith wavers, Drizzt, Jarlaxle, Bruenor, and Cadderly prepare for a desperate battle to save Faerûn from ultimate destruction.
