Synopsis

In the heart of a small Texas town, Ella Barron meticulously manages her boarding house, a bastion of order amid the daily challenges of raising her ten-year-old son, Solly. Solly, a sweet but nonverbal child whose 'busy' nature draws unsolicited opinions, consumes much of Ella's energy, leaving little room for anything else. Her carefully constructed life is disrupted when a room becomes available, and the respected Dr. Kincaid introduces a new boarder: the enigmatic and strikingly handsome Mr. David Rainwater. Ella, wary of strangers and fiercely protective of her son, is immediately resistant to this mysterious man who carries an aura of both charm and hidden depths. As Rainwater slowly integrates into the boarding house, a cautious attraction sparks between him and Ella, challenging her self-imposed isolation. However, Rainwater's shadowed past and the secrets he holds threaten to unravel the fragile peace Ella has fought so hard to maintain, forcing her to confront her own vulnerabilities and the true meaning of trust.
