Synopsis

In the desolate, sun-baked landscape of Inferno, Texas, a terrifying extraterrestrial entity crashes down, unleashing unimaginable horror upon the isolated town. Known only as 'Stinger,' this creature is a sadistic harbinger of chaos, transforming the arid land into a battleground where grisly executions and grotesque mutations become the norm. As Inferno is sealed off from the outside world, its diverse inhabitants—a pregnant woman, a disillusioned doctor, a courageous sheriff, and a hardened biker gang—find themselves trapped in a desperate fight for survival. With each passing moment, the Stinger's influence grows, pushing humanity to its limits and forcing unlikely alliances. The townspeople must overcome their differences and face their deepest fears to confront an evil far beyond their comprehension, culminating in a visceral, last-ditch stand against an enemy determined to eradicate all life.

Critical Reception

"Often hailed as a quintessential example of 1980s epic horror, "Stinger" stands as a testament to McCammon's mastery of suspense and character-driven terror."
