Synopsis

In the idyllic English village of Midwich, a mysterious, unexplained event causes everyone to fall unconscious for an entire day, dubbed the 'Daylight Attack'. When the villagers awaken, they discover a baffling anomaly: every woman of childbearing age in Midwich is inexplicably pregnant. Nine months later, 60 extraordinary children are born, all with striking blonde hair, golden eyes, and an uncanny collective consciousness. These 'Children' possess formidable telepathic abilities and a chillingly detached intellect, operating as a single, powerful entity. As they grow, their alien nature and escalating powers become a profound threat to humanity, raising urgent questions about evolution, survival, and the definition of 'us' versus 'them'. Society grapples with the terrifying implications of this new species, forcing a desperate decision on how to confront an intelligent, amoral, and potentially unstoppable force that could spell the end of mankind's dominance.
