Trapped

Synopsis

In the fifth installment of the acclaimed Iron Druid Chronicles, two-thousand-year-old Atticus O’Sullivan faces a gauntlet of divine and ancient foes as he attempts to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth, making her the first new Druid in centuries. Having faked his death, Atticus now finds the consequences catching up to him, with powerful entities bent on his demise. The Roman god Bacchus seeks mortal revenge for a past slight, ensuring Atticus endures continuous suffering. Simultaneously, a newly freed, maddened member of the Norse pantheon and an ancient vampire, both with their own vendettas, converge to thwart Atticus and Granuaile's plans. Forced to navigate these threats at the base of Mount Olympus, they must survive the perilous three-month binding process. With his loyal Irish Wolfhound, Oberon, by his side, Atticus must outwit gods and monsters to protect not only his apprentice but also his very existence.

Critical Reception

"As a New York Times bestselling series, 'Trapped' continues to solidify the Iron Druid Chronicles' reputation as a compelling and humor-infused urban fantasy saga, drawing comparisons to Neil Gaiman's 'American Gods' and Jim Butcher's 'Harry Dresden' series."
