Synopsis

In a world teetering on the brink of war, "The Blade Itself" introduces a cast of morally complex and unforgettable characters whose paths are about to collide. We meet Sand dan Glokta, a crippled former war hero turned cynical torturer, whose daily routine of interrogation is interrupted by a wider conspiracy. Jezal dan Luthar, a vain and privileged nobleman, dreams of fencing glory while living a life of superficiality, unaware of the harsh realities awaiting him. Meanwhile, in the frigid North, Logen Ninefingers, a legendary but weary warrior, attempts to outrun his bloody past and a looming blood feud. Their lives, seemingly disparate, are about to be inextricably linked by the enigmatic and manipulative First of the Magi, Bayaz. As old habits die hard and new alliances are forged in the fires of conflict, these unlikely protagonists are drawn into a web of intrigue, violence, and dark humor that will challenge their perceptions and forever alter their fates.

Critical Reception
