Synopsis

Alexander Cleave, a renowned actor haunted by a pervasive sense of being watched, suddenly implodes on stage at the zenith of his career, abandoning his life's work. Retreating in self-imposed exile to his childhood home, he seeks solace and the opportunity to disentangle his true identity from the roles he's played. However, his attempt at quiet introspection is continually disrupted by the house itself, a living repository of both spectral presences and robust, undeniable human memories. As he sifts through the accumulated clutter of half a century, Cleave finds his attention constantly pulled between the delicate details of the present and the overwhelming tide of the past. Adding to his turmoil is a profound anxiety about the future, particularly concerning his beloved but troubled daughter, Cass, whose plight tugs at him with the relentless force of an undertow, preventing any true peace or self-discovery.

Critical Reception
