Synopsis

In Michael Robotham's gripping psychological thriller, "Close Your Eyes," clinical psychologist Joseph O'Loughlin finds himself entangled in a horrific double murder investigation that strikes unnervingly close to home. A mother and her teenage daughter are brutally slain in their remote coastal dwelling, one with multiple stab wounds, the other disturbingly posed. Joe is drawn into the case when a former student, now a self-proclaimed "Mindhunter," jeopardizes the police inquiry by sensationalizing details to the media, trading on Joe's reputation. As Joe reluctantly assists the police, he uncovers a chilling connection to a series of vicious attacks where victims were choked and scarred. He realizes they are facing a ruthless and audacious criminal who has escalated from assault to murder. With the stakes higher than ever, Joe must outwit a cunning hunter who anticipates their every move. Unexpectedly, he finds an invaluable, courageous assistant in his eldest daughter, as they race against time to stop the killer before he strikes again.
