Synopsis

Dr. John Hammond, an eccentric billionaire and genetic engineering pioneer, has achieved the impossible: resurrecting dinosaurs through advanced cloning techniques. He invites a select group of scientists, including paleontologist Alan Grant, paleobotanist Ellie Sattler, and chaos theory expert Ian Malcolm, to preview his spectacular theme park, Jurassic Park, located on a remote island off Costa Rica. Billed as the safest, most thrilling attraction ever conceived, the park promises an unprecedented experience of living dinosaurs. However, as a tropical storm brews and a disgruntled employee sabotages the park's sophisticated security systems, the prehistoric creatures break free from their enclosures. The idyllic dream quickly devolves into a terrifying nightmare of survival, as the human visitors find themselves hunted by highly intelligent and deadly predators. Crichton masterfully explores themes of scientific hubris, the unpredictable nature of complex systems, and humanity's dangerous desire to control forces beyond its understanding, all while delivering a relentless, pulse-pounding thriller.
