Synopsis

In the spirit of Michael Crichton's iconic works like 'Jurassic Park,' 'Micro' plunges a team of brilliant graduate students into an unimaginable nightmare. Lured to Hawaii by a mysterious biotech company, Nanigen, under the pretense of groundbreaking research, they soon uncover a chilling secret: the company has mastered the art of miniaturization. When a confrontation erupts, the students find themselves drastically shrunk to a mere half-inch tall and abandoned in the perilous depths of the Hawaiian rainforest. Stripped of modern technology and facing a world where insects are monstrous predators and raindrops are deadly projectiles, they must rely on their scientific intellect, ingenuity, and sheer will to survive. This high-concept thriller, completed by Richard Preston, pits humanity's technological ambition against the raw, unforgiving power of nature on a micro-scale, delivering a pulse-pounding tale of survival against overwhelming odds.

Critical Reception

"Following in the footsteps of 'Jurassic Park,' 'Micro' cemented its place as an instant classic, lauded for its vintage Crichton blend of scientific fact, cutting-edge technology, and relentless suspense."
