Synopsis

Nora Stephens is a cut-throat literary agent, utterly devoted to her career, while Charlie Lastra is a brilliant book editor—and Nora’s professional nemesis. Both are driven, sharp-witted, and known for their ruthless dedication to the publishing world. Nora, having been through countless break-ups where she was always the 'before' girl, is convinced she’s not destined for a storybook romance. To escape her city life and a string of romantic disappointments, her sister Libby convinces her to take a month-long trip to Sunshine Falls, a quaint small town straight out of a romance novel. However, instead of finding a rugged small-town hero, Nora keeps unexpectedly running into Charlie, her work rival. As they repeatedly cross paths in the picturesque town, their undeniable chemistry and shared love for books ignite a spark that forces them to re-evaluate their perceptions of each other, and perhaps, themselves. Can two people who are clearly not the archetypal hero and heroine find their own unique happy ever after?
