Synopsis

In a sudden and catastrophic shift, the Northern Hemisphere plunges into an unprecedented, permanent winter, freezing rivers solid and covering Europe in an unyielding blanket of snow. As civilization crumbles under the strain of dwindling resources and extreme cold, nations descend into chaos, with law and order dissolving into barbarism. Journalist Andrew Leedon, among the fortunate few, escapes the frozen UK to the comparatively habitable refugee slums of Nigeria. However, the stark realities of his new existence and the memory of his abandoned homeland ignite a fierce resolve. Horrified by the conditions for refugees and determined to reclaim what was lost, Leedon hatches a desperate plan to return to the dangerous, frozen wilderness of Britain. 'The World in Winter' is a chilling exploration of human resilience, societal collapse, and the drastic measures one man will take to confront a world irrevocably altered by climate catastrophe, forcing humanity to adapt or perish.

Critical Reception
