Eight Perfect Murders

Malcolm Kershaw, a quiet Boston bookseller and a lifelong aficionado of crime fiction, once compiled a list of the genre's most ingenious and 'unsolvable' murders, dubbed "Eight Perfect Murders." Years later, his peaceful life is shattered when an FBI agent arrives at his Old Devils Bookstore, revealing that a series of real-life killings eerily mirrors the impossible crimes from Mal's own list. As he reluctantly assists the investigation, Mal finds himself drawn into a dangerous game. The killer, seemingly obsessed with his personal history and hidden secrets, is always one step ahead, leaving a trail of bodies that grows distressingly close to Mal's world. With the noose tightening and suspicion falling on him, Mal must confront not only the meticulously crafted crimes but also the long-buried truths of his past, questioning everyone around him as he scrambles to unmask the killer before he becomes the next, or final, victim.
