Synopsis

In a catastrophic event, the Moon inexplicably shatters into seven major pieces, with countless smaller fragments. Scientists quickly realize that these fragments will soon collide with each other, creating a 'White Sky' and ultimately a 'Hard Rain' of meteorites that will render Earth uninhabitable for thousands of years. Humanity has just two years to launch an ark into space, designed to preserve a fraction of the population and genetic diversity. The ambitious project, dubbed the 'Cloud Ark,' becomes a desperate race against time, forcing nations and individuals to make impossible choices. The story follows the diverse crew of the International Space Station, transformed into the ark's core, as they grapple with the engineering challenges, political machasions, and deep personal sacrifices required for survival. Five thousand years later, a new race of humans, descendants of the ark survivors, returns to a transformed Earth, ready to reclaim their ancestral home and uncover the mysteries of their past, facing new challenges and opportunities in a world profoundly reshaped by cosmic catastrophe.
