Synopsis

Coraline Jones, a bright and adventurous young girl, feels largely ignored by her busy parents after they move into an old house split into flats. One day, while exploring, she discovers a mysterious, locked door. When it's finally opened, it reveals a brick wall. Yet, later, the door unveils a dark passage to an alternate, seemingly improved version of her own home. There, she encounters the "Other Mother" and "Other Father," who look much like her real parents but have unsettling button eyes. This other world initially appears wondrous, catering to all of Coraline's desires. However, the idyllic facade soon crumbles as the Other Mother's true, malevolent nature is revealed. She wishes Coraline to stay forever, demanding that Coraline replace her own eyes with buttons. Realizing the immense danger, Coraline must draw upon her courage and cleverness to outwit the manipulative Other Mother, save her true parents, and escape this terrifying, magical realm to return to her ordinary but beloved life.
