Synopsis

On the idyllic, sun-drenched beaches of Smugglers' Island, a popular holiday resort, the vibrant yet notoriously flirtatious actress Arlena Stuart is found dead – strangled. Her untimely demise sends shockwaves through the exclusive hotel, disrupting the tranquil façade of the wealthy vacationers. Renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who is also on holiday, quickly discerns that Arlena's magnetic yet provocative presence had stirred a potent cocktail of jealousy, resentment, and desire among her fellow guests. From her long-suffering husband and his quiet, devoted daughter, to the women whose husbands or lovers she had captivated, and the men she had spurned, a myriad of motives surfaces. What initially appears to be a crime of passion soon unravels into a meticulously planned murder, deeply rooted in the complex web of relationships and hidden secrets on the island. Poirot must sift through the intricate alibis and veiled emotions to expose the cold, calculating mind behind the sun-drenched crime before the killer strikes again or escapes detection. The sun may be shining, but beneath its warmth lies a chilling tale of deceit and vengeance.
