Synopsis

The Bohr Maker, an advanced nanotechnology, offers unprecedented control over biological systems, capable of altering moods, emotions, and even genetic structures. Deemed too dangerous, this technology is outlawed by the Commonwealth. The novel plunges into a high-stakes chase when the Bohr Maker is stolen from the Commonwealth Police at the behest of Nikko Jiang-Tibayan, a man living on borrowed time due to a genetic defect. With only weeks to live, Nikko will stop at nothing to secure his survival, even if it means unleashing a power that could reshape humanity. However, the Maker's journey takes an unexpected turn, landing in the hands of Delia, a resilient young woman from the poverty-stricken slums of Sunda. For Delia, this revolutionary technology transforms her into both a hunted fugitive and a potential savior. As Nikko, driven by desperation, and the high-tech police force close in, the fate of humanity hangs precariously on the decisions of a slum-dweller and a dying man. The Bohr Maker represents either humanity's total destruction or its miraculous rebirth, forcing a confrontation with profound ethical and existential questions.
