Synopsis

Boone, a deeply troubled soul plagued by recurring nightmares and a gnawing conviction that he has committed heinous crimes, finds himself on the run. Led by a deceitful therapist to a legendary necropolis called Midian, hidden deep within the wilds of Canada, he discovers a secret society of beings known as the Nightbreed. These are the last great creatures of the world – shape-shifters and fantastical beings possessed of unearthly powers, who live outside the gaze of humanity. Believing he, too, is one of them, Boone finds a fragile sanctuary among these misunderstood 'monsters.' However, the world outside, driven by fear and led by the very therapist who manipulated Boone, closes in, intent on hunting the Nightbreed to extinction. Boone, now christened 'Cabal,' must embrace his true nature and rally these outcasts, becoming their unlikely champion against the encroaching human threat. His journey delves into the blurry lines between monstrosity and humanity, exploring themes of identity, otherness, and the redemptive power of acceptance, all while a woman's unwavering love seeks to pull him back from his own corrupting hell.
