Synopsis

In the quiet, isolated Maine town of Tarker's Mills, the tranquil rhythm of life is violently shattered by the arrival of a monstrous killer. As the full moon rises each month, a brutal, seemingly supernatural creature stalks the community, leaving behind a trail of gruesome deaths. What begins as a single, horrifying murder quickly escalates into a reign of terror, paralyzing the townspeople with fear and suspicion. Young Marty Coslaw, a wheelchair-bound boy with a keen eye and an inquisitive mind, finds himself drawn into the mystery. He soon discovers the terrifying truth: the killer is not merely an animal, but a werewolf, and it could be anyone among them. As the attacks grow more frequent and vicious, Marty embarks on a dangerous personal quest to unmask the beast and put an end to its bloody cycle before he, or those he loves, become the next victims. King masterfully combines classic werewolf lore with a compelling human drama, exploring themes of courage, community paranoia, and the primal fear of the unknown.
