Synopsis

In George Orwell's chilling allegorical novella, "Animal Farm," the downtrodden animals of Manor Farm, inspired by the charismatic boar Old Major's vision of a world free from human oppression, stage a triumphant revolution. They establish Animalism, a system founded on principles of equality and freedom, encapsulated by the maxim "All animals are equal." However, the pigs, led by the cunning Napoleon and eloquent Squealer, gradually seize power, manipulating the other animals and corrupting the original ideals. Through propaganda, fear, and a terrifying dog-force, they systematically dismantle the revolutionary dream, rewriting history and twisting the commandments to suit their tyrannical rule. As the pigs grow indistinguishable from the humans they overthrew, the farm devolves into a brutal totalitarian state, demonstrating how revolutionary fervor can be betrayed by those seeking absolute power. It serves as a stark, timeless warning against political corruption and the dangers of unchallenged authority.

Critical Reception
