Synopsis

In a tumultuous 2007, marked by a leaked revelation of U.S. government first contact with extraterrestrials, Cora Sabino finds her life upended. The source of the national upheaval is her estranged father, a notorious whistleblower, whose actions inadvertently thrust Cora into the media spotlight. Despite her fervent desire for anonymity and skepticism regarding her father's claims, Cora is dragged into the escalating conspiracy when she discovers her family's deep-rooted involvement in covering up an alien presence that has been on Earth for decades. To protect herself, she offers her unique linguistic skills to one of the enigmatic extraterrestrials, becoming humanity's first and only intermediary. As she navigates the complexities of interspecies communication and uncovers the extent of the deception perpetrated by those in power, Cora grapples with the profound responsibility of her role. She becomes the voice for an alien being she can never fully comprehend, forcing her to question the true implications of her translations and the future she is shaping for all of humanity.
