Synopsis

Victor Vale and Eli Cardale, brilliant yet arrogant college roommates, uncover a fascinating theory about ExtraOrdinary abilities stemming from near-death experiences. Their academic curiosity turns dangerously experimental, resulting in both gaining incredible powers but at a horrific cost, forever shattering their bond and turning them into mortal enemies. Ten years later, Victor escapes prison, determined to hunt down Eli, who has embarked on a zealous mission to eradicate all other EOs, believing them to be abominations. Aided by a young girl with a unique power and an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will, Victor and Eli are set on a collision course. Fuelled by betrayal, loss, and an insatiable desire for revenge, "Vicious" masterfully blurs the lines between hero and villain, challenging perceptions of good and evil as these two formidable adversaries race towards an inevitable, brutal confrontation.

Critical Reception

"V. E. Schwab's "Vicious" is lauded as a fresh, dark, and compelling deconstruction of superhero tropes, earning critical acclaim for its intricate plotting and morally ambiguous characters."
