Synopsis

In the murky world of London's MI5, a seismic scandal threatens to erupt, potentially bringing down the entire intelligence community. The Prime Minister's superforecaster, a crucial advisor on public reception to policy, vanishes without a trace, prompting former MI5 head Claude Whelan to lead the investigation. His search, however, takes an alarming turn, leading him directly back to Regent's Park and squarely implicating First Desk Diana Taverner as the prime suspect. Has Taverner finally pushed her ruthless ambition too far? Simultaneously, her Russian intelligence counterpart provocatively appears in London, only to shake off his escort, raising suspicions of a coordinated plot. Amidst this high-stakes political chess game, the disgraced agents of Slough House, under the cynical gaze of Jackson Lamb, predictably contribute their unique brand of chaos to an already precarious situation. In a world where deceit and manipulation are the norm, 'Bad Actors' delves into the grim reality that sometimes even the 'good guys' find themselves outmaneuvered, where comeuppance is rarely guaranteed for the truly powerful.
