Synopsis

Carl Schirmer's life takes an inconceivable turn when, in a flash of light in a Manhattan bathroom, he spontaneously transforms. Billions of years later, as the cosmos collapses into a black hole, Carl is miraculously reborn in the 'Werld,' a fantastical realm of floating islands. He discovers the Foke, nomadic humans with whom he finds love and belonging with the beautiful Evoe. Their idyllic existence is brutally shattered when Evoe is captured by the zotl, terrifying, spidery intelligences that hunt and devour the Foke. To rescue Evoe, Carl must embark on an impossible journey: a perilous return to Earth, 130 billion years in the past. The Earth he finds is drastically altered, and he is thrust into a desperate race against time and a cosmic horror, with the relentless zotl now threatening humanity itself. 'Radix' is an epic saga of transformation, destiny, love, and sacrifice across unimaginable spans of time and reality.
