Synopsis

Michael Brock, a rising star at Washington D.C.'s prestigious law firm, Drake & Sweeney, finds his meticulously planned life irrevocably shattered by a violent encounter. Held hostage by a homeless man who is subsequently killed by police, Michael is left profoundly shaken. This traumatic event sparks an uncharacteristic curiosity, leading him to investigate the deceased's background. What he uncovers is a disturbing truth: the man was a mentally ill veteran, cycling through shelters, and his predicament is inextricably linked to a dark secret harbored by Michael's own firm. Fueled by a burgeoning conscience and a sense of betrayal, Michael risks everything—his career, his future, and potentially his freedom—by absconding with a critical file. He abandons his lucrative corporate path to become an advocate for the marginalized, transforming into a 'street lawyer' dedicated to exposing corporate malfeasance and fighting for the rights of the homeless. His journey is one of radical self-discovery and a perilous battle against the very establishment he once served.
