Malibu Rising

Set against the glamorous backdrop of Malibu in August 1983, "Malibu Rising" unfolds over the course of a single, unforgettable night: the Riva family's legendary annual end-of-summer party. Four siblings—Nina, a supermodel and talented surfer; Jay, a championship surfer; Hud, a renowned photographer; and their beloved younger sister, Kit—are the magnetic offspring of famous singer Mick Riva, captivating the world with their fame and allure. However, beneath the surface of their seemingly perfect lives, profound family drama simmers. Nina, recently abandoned by her husband, dreads the spotlight; Hud grapples with a life-altering confession he must make to Jay; Jay impatiently awaits the arrival of a girl he can't stop thinking about; and Kit harbors secrets of her own, including an uninvited guest. As alcohol flows and music plays, the long-buried loves, betrayals, and secrets spanning generations of the Riva family rise to the surface.
