Lovecraft Country

In 1954 Jim Crow America, Atticus Turner, a 22-year-old Army veteran, embarks on a perilous journey from Chicago to New England. Accompanied by his Uncle George, publisher of 'The Safe Negro Travel Guide,' and childhood friend Letitia, Atticus seeks his missing father, Montrose. Their road trip plunges them into a nightmarish landscape where the everyday terrors of racial segregation and white supremacy merge with monstrous entities drawn from the cosmic horrors of H.P. Lovecraft. They discover Atticus's father imprisoned by the sinister Order of the Ancient Dawn, a secret cult led by the heir of the very estate that once enslaved Atticus's ancestors. As Atticus becomes central to the cult's shocking ritual, he must confront both the pervasive evil of human bigotry and the cosmic malevolence that threatens not only his family but the entire Turner clan, forcing them to fight for survival against forces both human and supernatural.
