Synopsis

In the distant future, humanity's vast interstellar empire, the Interdependency, faces an existential crisis. Its myriad worlds are intricately linked and utterly reliant on each other through a network of extra-dimensional pathways known as 'The Flow.' This crucial 'Flow' allows for instantaneous travel and resource exchange, preventing war but also cementing the power of ruling Merchant Houses. However, a scientific discovery reveals that The Flow is unstable, shifting course, and threatening to sever the connections between systems, plunging entire planets into fatal isolation and collapse. As this cataclysm looms, three unlikely individuals become central to the unfolding drama: a daring scientist who risks his life to warn the empire, a cunning scion of a powerful Merchant House who uncovers a conspiracy to seize power amidst the chaos, and the newly crowned Empress of the Interdependency, who must navigate treacherous political waters, rebellion, and treason to save her civilization from itself, even as others actively plot its demise.
