Synopsis

In Jeffery Deaver's thirteenth Lincoln Rhyme thriller, 'The Burial Hour,' a chilling new adversary emerges when a man is abducted from a New York street, leaving only a miniature noose behind. Forensic criminalist Lincoln Rhyme and his partner Amelia Sachs are drawn into a macabre global chase as a mysterious individual, known only as 'The Composer,' begins broadcasting videos of his victims' final moments, setting their dying breaths to a grisly musical score. As The Composer's horrifying 'symphony' takes shape across continents, Rhyme and Sachs must navigate a world of unfamiliar rules and escalating danger. With each new victim, the stakes rise, forcing the brilliant but physically constrained Rhyme and the resourceful Sachs to confront not only a cunning killer but also the terrifying realization that they might be part of The Composer's ultimate opus. This installment pushes the duo to their limits in a race against time before the music finally stops for good.
