Synopsis

Detective Alex Cross faces his most harrowing case yet when his beloved niece, Naomi, mysteriously vanishes. The personal anguish quickly merges with his professional duty as he uncovers a chilling connection between Naomi's disappearance and a string of abductions and brutal murders plaguing the United States. Cross learns that two distinct, yet terrifyingly interconnected, serial killers are operating simultaneously on opposite coasts: 'Casanova,' a meticulous and cunning predator in the South, and 'The Gentleman,' a savage, rage-fueled murderer in California. These two masterminds are not only committing increasingly horrific crimes but are also collaborating and competing in a grotesque game of escalating violence. With his niece's life, and countless others, hanging precariously in the balance, Cross embarks on a relentless, cross-country hunt, forced to delve into the darkest corners of human depravity to outwit these brilliant psychopaths and bring them to justice before time runs out.
