Synopsis

In Jo Nesbø's 'Killing Moon,' the dark and complex world of Harry Hole is revisited as two young women vanish from Oslo, only to have one found brutally murdered with peculiar surgical precision. The hunt for a killer with macabre artistic leanings begins, but the city's most formidable detective is nowhere to be found. Harry Hole, once the brilliant but troubled heart of the Oslo police, is now a shadow of his former self, exiled in Los Angeles and seemingly beyond redemption. His return to Norway seems impossible, until a threat surfaces that strikes dangerously close to his personal life, forcing him back into the frigid grip of his past. As Harry reluctantly re-engages with the investigation, he discovers a web of deception and a killer whose methods are as intelligent as they are horrifying. With another young woman's life hanging in the balance, Harry must confront his own demons and outwit a psychopath who has infiltrated his very thoughts, in a race against time that promises to be his most personal and perilous case yet.
