Synopsis

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back in action, tasked with tracking down Eddie DeCooch, a semi-retired mobster caught trafficking contraband cigarettes who jumped bail. DeCooch is no easy mark, having already shot an innocent woman and proving to be dangerously elusive. As Stephanie navigates Trenton's underbelly, she discovers DeCooch's operation runs far deeper than simple smuggling, involving her former classmates Walter "MoonMan" Dunphy and Dougie "The Dealer" Kruper, who soon vanish. With her targets disappearing, Stephanie enlists the help of the enigmatic master bounty hunter Ranger. Ranger's price for his assistance? A night with Stephanie—a dilemma for her on-again, off-again relationship with vice cop Joe Morelli. Amidst the professional chaos, Stephanie’s personal life remains a whirlwind: her "perfect" sister Valerie moves back with her unruly kids, Grandma Mazur explores new interests, and her bulimic dog Bob devours everything in sight. "Seven Up" delivers a signature blend of fast-paced action, laugh-out-loud humor, and a perpetually complicated romantic triangle, characteristic of Evanovich's beloved series.
