Synopsis

In 'The Mephisto Club,' forensic pathologist Maura Isles and detective Jane Rizzoli face their most chilling case yet when a young woman is found brutally murdered, completely drained of blood and horrifically dismembered, with the cryptic message 'I HAVE SINNED' scrawled in blood nearby. This gruesome discovery is soon followed by a second, equally disturbing murder, suggesting a ritualistic pattern. As the investigation deepens, Rizzoli and Isles uncover a sinister connection to an ancient, clandestine society known as the Mephisto Club. This enigmatic group, dedicated to exploring the very nature of evil and its earthly manifestations, finds itself embroiled in the murders, leading the detectives to question whether the club members are hunters of evil, or if evil has already infiltrated their ranks. The case thrusts Maura into a world of arcane beliefs, demonic theories, and a battle against a terrifying, elusive adversary, pushing her scientific resolve to its limits while Jane navigates the labyrinthine world of secret societies and unholy retribution. This sixth installment in the Rizzoli & Isles series masterfully blends forensic detail with dark occult themes, creating a pulse-pounding thriller that blurs the lines between good and evil.
