Synopsis

In P. G. Wodehouse's uproarious 'The Mating Season,' the perpetually bumbling Bertie Wooster finds himself once again entangled in a web of ludicrous misunderstandings and mistaken identities, all in the name of friendship. When his newt-loving pal Gussie Fink-Nottle is forced to lie low for two weeks after an unfortunate incident in Trafalgar Square, Bertie agrees to impersonate him at Deverill Hall, a charming Tudor manor. The stakes are comically high: Gussie's simpering fiancée, Madeline Bassett, must not discover the deception, lest her affections shift to Bertie, a fate he dreads. The situation escalates into pure farce when the real Gussie, attempting his own covert return, decides to impersonate Bertie Wooster, leading to a dizzying array of confusion for the manor's eccentric inhabitants. With multiple Berties and Gussies running amok, only the unparalleled genius of Jeeves, who also infiltrates the household in an ingenious disguise, can untangle the romantic imbroglios and restore order to the delightfully chaotic countryside.
