Synopsis

Ben Elton's 'Stark' plunges into a world teetering on the brink of ecological collapse, orchestrated by the shadowy and immensely powerful consortium known only as Stark. With resources beyond imagination and a complete disregard for planetary welfare, Stark's elite are preparing a drastic, planet-sized scheme to escape Earth's dying breath, leaving the rest of humanity to its inevitable fate. Against this backdrop of looming environmental apocalypse, a motley crew of 'green freaks' emerges from the fringes of Western Australian society. Led by the cynical, yet charismatic, Pummice and supported by a brain-fried Vietnam veteran, marginalized Aboriginal communities, and an assortment of eco-activists, this group, EcoAction, discovers Stark's heinous plot. Despite their limited resources and societal disdain, they embark on a desperate, often comedic, and always perilous mission to expose and thwart the richest and most depraved conspiracy in human history, fighting not just for the planet, but for the very soul of humanity.

Critical Reception
