She Who Became the Sun

In a famine-ravaged 1345 China, under the oppressive thumb of Mongol rule, two children from a humble village are dealt vastly different fates: the boy, Zhu Chongba, is destined for greatness, while his intelligent sister is condemned to nothingness.
