Synopsis

Meet Prince Jalan Kendeth, a self-proclaimed coward and hedonist content with his life of debauchery as a minor royal in the realm of the Red Queen. Yet, even a prince of fools cannot escape fate when the looming threat of the undead pushes the kingdom to the brink of war. Unlike others, Jalan can see the Red Queen's terrifying weapon, The Silent Sister, a crone-like entity whose touch means death. After a harrowing encounter that intertwines his destiny with that of Snorri ver Snagason, a formidable Norse warrior seeking vengeance, Jalan finds himself unwillingly thrust into a perilous quest. Bound by a powerful, dark magic, the unlikely duo must journey across a fragmented, post-apocalyptic world, facing ancient dangers, mysterious powers, and even the infamous Prince Jorg Ancrath. As their reluctant alliance deepens, Jalan slowly uncovers the truth: he and Snorri are but pawns in a much larger, more intricate game orchestrated by the enigmatic Red Queen, where the stakes are nothing less than the future of their world.
