Synopsis

October "Toby" Daye, a changeling knight of the Night Court, finds herself embroiled in high-stakes Faerie politics after her unwitting actions in the Kingdom of Silences lead to a potential cure for elf-shot. Summoned to a historic convocation of monarchs hosted by Queen Windermere in the Kingdom of the Mists, and overseen by the High King and Queen, Toby anticipates nothing but discomfort. However, the delicate political balance shatters when a body is discovered, turning the conference into a locked-room murder mystery. As the only changeling present, Toby becomes the prime target of suspicion and hostility. With the doors sealed and a killer stalking the halls, she must race against time to identify the perpetrator before more lives are lost and the entire West Coast's Faerie stability crumbles. Her failure would not only doom the elf-shot cure but also threaten her loved ones, forcing Toby to navigate a treacherous web of ancient feuds and modern betrayals.
