Synopsis

In the gripping second installment of Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, Lyra Belacqua, accompanied by her daemon Pantalaimon, journeys from her own world into the enigmatic city of Cittàgazze, a place haunted by spectres that prey on adults. There, she encounters Will Parry, a determined boy from our own world, who is desperately searching for his missing explorer father. Will, burdened by a shadowed past, has stumbled upon a portal between realities and finds himself the unwitting bearer of a legendary and immensely powerful weapon: the Subtle Knife. This extraordinary blade possesses the ability to cut windows between worlds and sever anything, even the very fabric of existence. As Lyra and Will's destinies intertwine, they uncover a dangerous prophecy and find themselves at the heart of a cosmic war, pursued by powerful forces who covet the Knife. Their quest to find Will's father and understand the true nature of the Dust will force them to confront profound ethical dilemmas and challenge their understanding of freedom, fate, and the interconnectedness of all things.
