Synopsis

In a chilling alternate 1918, the Great War rages across Europe, but with a terrifying difference: Graf von Dracula commands the armies of Germany and Austria-Hungary, turning the conflict into a brutal struggle between the living and the dead. Amidst this supernatural conflagration, the seasoned vampire hunter Charles Beauregard, his brilliant protégé Edwin Winthrop, and the fearless vampire reporter Kate Reed find themselves plunged into the heart of the conflict. Their ultimate adversary? The legendary, now vampiric, flying ace known only as the Bloody Red Baron, whose aerial supremacy is as lethal as it is unholy. As the skies become a battleground for immortal dogfights and the trenches teem with both human and undead combatants, our heroes must confront the insidious spread of Dracula's vampiric empire and the horrific transformation of history. The volume also features the novella 'Vampire Romance,' where the enigmatic Genevieve Dieudonne, recently returned to England, infiltrates a peculiar vampire gathering on a crucial mission for the mysterious Diogenes Club, further enriching Newman's acclaimed, blood-soaked universe.
