Synopsis

In the aftermath of World War II, 1945, former British combat nurse Claire Randall finds herself enjoying a second honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands with her husband. However, a fateful encounter with an ancient standing stone circle propels her back through time to 1743. Suddenly a Sassenach—an 'outlander'—in a land torn by clan warfare and political unrest, Claire's modern sensibilities clash with the brutal realities of 18th-century Scotland. Her life is threatened, and she is forced into a marriage with Jamie Fraser, a valiant and honorable young Scots warrior. What begins as a desperate measure for safety soon blossoms into a passionate and profound love story. Claire finds herself deeply conflicted, torn between her loyalty to her husband in the future and the fierce, undeniable connection she shares with Jamie in the past, grappling with a choice that will shatter her heart and redefine her destiny across centuries.
