Synopsis

In the mid-20th century, humanity stands on the brink of self-destruction when enormous, enigmatic silver spaceships appear silently over the world's major cities. These belong to the Overlords, an alien race whose intentions are initially shrouded in mystery, yet their actions are surprisingly benevolent. They swiftly end war, poverty, and cruelty, ushering in an unprecedented 'Golden Age' for Earth. Under their seemingly paternalistic guidance, humanity achieves global peace and prosperity, but at the cost of its independent spirit and creative drive. As decades pass, the Overlords remain unseen, communicating only through their enigmatic representative, Karellen. Doubts begin to surface among humans about the true nature of their benefactors. When the Overlords finally reveal their terrifying, demonic appearance and their ultimate, cosmic agenda for the evolution of the human race, it becomes clear that their 'benevolence' comes with an unthinkable, species-altering price, forcing humanity to confront its destiny and the end of its childhood.
