Synopsis

When Rupert Conway and seven other passengers embark on a luxury cruise, their dreams of relaxation quickly shatter as their yacht explodes, leaving them shipwrecked on a seemingly deserted island. While the island provides ample fresh water and food, offering a temporary reprieve from their maritime disaster, their relief is short-lived. The idyllic, tropical setting soon transforms into a nightmarish prison, as the castaways discover they are not alone. A cunning and bloodthirsty maniac lurks within the dense jungle, intent on systematically hunting and slaughtering them. As the body count rises and the sands of the beach become soaked with blood, Rupert and his fellow survivors, including several attractive women, must confront a primal terror far more terrifying than their isolation. Richard Laymon’s 'Island' plunges readers into a relentless fight for survival against a clever, murderous adversary, promising vivid moments of terror and unrelenting suspense where escape seems impossible.
