The Given Day

Set against the turbulent backdrop of Boston in 1918, as soldiers return from the Great War and societal tensions simmer, "The Given Day" plunges into a city on the brink. Danny Coughlin, the son of a powerful police captain, navigates his duties as an undercover cop tasked with infiltrating the city's burgeoning revolutionary and anarchist movements. His loyalty is tested as his investigations threaten to expose dark truths about those closest to him. Meanwhile, Luther Laurence, a Black man fleeing a violent past with a crime boss, seeks refuge and employment within the Coughlin household, desperately trying to build a new life for his pregnant wife. His determination to avoid trouble is shattered when his dangerous history collides with his precarious present. As Boston teeters on the edge of chaos, Danny and Luther find their paths intertwined, forcing them to confront a storm of violence and betrayals that could engulf them both, challenging their notions of justice, family, and survival.
