Breaking Dawn

Synopsis

Breaking Dawn plunges readers into the dramatic conclusion of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga. The long-awaited wedding of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen finally takes place, ushering in a period of fragile bliss. However, their newfound happiness is shattered when Bella discovers she is pregnant with a mysteriously rapidly-developing hybrid child, a union unheard of in vampire lore. This unprecedented pregnancy pushes Bella to the brink of death, forcing Edward to transform her into a vampire to save her life. The birth of Renesmee, a half-human, half-vampire child, attracts the dangerous attention of the Volturi, the ancient vampire coven who uphold vampire law. Misinformed and fearing an immortal child has been created, the Volturi prepare to execute the Cullens and their allies. As Bella navigates her new existence as a powerful newborn vampire, the Cullens must gather a formidable assembly of vampire covens from around the world to stand with them in a desperate, final confrontation that will determine the fate of their family and the delicate balance between the human and supernatural worlds. Meanwhile, Jacob Black finds his destiny irrevocably linked to Renesmee through the phenomenon of imprinting.
