Synopsis

In a distant future Earth, where humanity lives under the watchful eyes of cosmic entities, the Watcher holds a sacred vigil from the ancient city of the Seven Hills. His world is irrevocably shattered when, in a moment of profound weakness, his vigilance falters, allowing alien invaders to conquer the planet. Compounding his despair, his beloved, Avluela the Flier – a woman gifted with ebony and scarlet wings and the ability to soar on the winds of darkness – is lost in the chaos of the invasion. Driven by guilt and a desperate hope for redemption, the Watcher embarks on a solitary pilgrimage to the Holy City, the sanctuary of the Rememberers, keepers of humanity's forgotten past. He seeks not only to recapture his lost youth and reunite with Avluela but also to uncover the secret of Earth's salvation hidden within antiquity. Yet, Avluela holds a far greater destiny than he imagines, for her unique wonder extends beyond mere flight, harboring a profound riddle capable of freeing all humankind.
