The Weaver and the Witch Queen

Synopsis

In tenth-century Norway, the lives of two starkly different girls, Oddny and Gunnhild, become inextricably linked by a dark prophecy. Oddny yearns for a simple existence, while Gunnhild, burdened by a cruel mother, hungers for power and knowledge of the arcane. After a visiting wisewoman foretells a shared destiny involving Oddny's sister, Signy, the three girls seal their bond with a blood oath. Tragedy strikes when Viking raiders destroy Oddny's farm and abduct Signy, thrusting Oddny into a perilous quest to rescue her sister, even as she finds herself drawn to one of the very raiders responsible. Meanwhile, Gunnhild embarks on a journey to master the ways of a witch, eventually crossing paths with the formidable King Eirik, heir to Norway's throne, and discovering her own path to power. As their paths diverge and converge, the powerful, ancient bonds of sworn sisterhood, both magical and emotional, will be tested to their limits in this gripping tale of destiny, magic, and unwavering determination.
