Synopsis

Deep within the boundless rainforest that envelops the entire planet of Midworld lives Born, a young man intimately connected to the delicate ecosystem. Part of a primitive society, he possesses an ancient wisdom regarding the precarious natural balance governing his world. His peaceful existence is shattered by the arrival of 'giants'—aliens from beyond the canopy—who are ignorant of Midworld's dangers and disrespectful of its sanctity. Born risks his life to guide them, navigating the treacherous boughs and hidden perils of his jungle home. However, it soon becomes clear that these visitors harbor plans to exploit and ultimately destroy the globe-spanning forest that is his people's lifeblood. The realization dawns on Born that his initial compassion was a grave error. Once he hunted solely for sustenance, but now, faced with the impending annihilation of his world, he knows he must live only to kill, transforming from a guardian of life into a reluctant warrior fighting for survival.
